Evgeny Rothschild

Professor Evgeny Rothschild was an outstanding scientist and the author of a fundamentally new scientific understanding of the nature of infectious diseases. His research focused on the manifestation of plague under natural conditions. A significant part of his scientific work was carried out at the “Microbe” Institute (Saratov, USSR).

The vast majority of his original publications appeared in low-circulation journals and other difficult-to-access sources. Later, his works were republished in the journal Environmental Epidemiology (Kyiv, Ukraine). As a result of the war in Ukraine, the journal ceased its activities due to a combination of many factors.

All materials that have survived will be published in this section of the repository of the journal Pollution and Diseases. All original works were written in Russian. Some of them may be translated into English in the future.
