Submission Guidelines
Pollution and Diseases Book Series welcomes high-quality scholarly proposals for thematic edited volumes and individual monographs that align with the intellectual scope of the series.
The series prioritizes rigorous, conceptually grounded, and interdisciplinary research addressing environmental pollution, environmental security, public health, and long-term ecological transformation.
For Edited Volumes
Proposals for edited volumes should include:
- Provisional title and thematic focus
- Conceptual rationale (2–3 pages) explaining the intellectual contribution
- Proposed structure (table of contents)
- Abstracts of individual chapters (300–500 words each)
- Information about volume editors
- Expected timeline for submission
Edited volumes must demonstrate clear thematic coherence and scholarly relevance. Each chapter will undergo independent peer review. Volume editors are responsible for coordinating contributors and ensuring academic consistency.
For Monographs
Monograph proposals should include:
- Working title
- Extended abstract or proposal (3–5 pages)
- Chapter outline
- Author biography (academic affiliation, research profile)
- Expected manuscript length
- Estimated completion timeline
Monographs should present original, research-based contributions of substantial analytical depth. Interdisciplinary approaches are encouraged.
Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo a structured peer review process.
- Initial editorial screening by the Series Editor
- Double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers
- Revision stage (if required)
- Final editorial decision
For edited volumes, each chapter is reviewed individually. Editors of a volume do not review their own contributions.
The series adheres to internationally recognized standards of research integrity, transparency, and academic responsibility.
Formatting Requirements
Submissions must:
- Be written in clear academic English
- Include structured abstracts (250–300 words)
- Provide 5–7 keywords
- Follow a consistent citation style (Vancouver preferred; other styles accepted if applied consistently)
- Include full reference lists
- Disclose funding sources (if applicable)
- Provide ORCID identifiers for all authors
